She is unprofessional and unethical. She promised to do my tax return by 4/11. Her associate called me on 4/14 and said that they will file for an "extension." I had no idea about what that was, so I asked her whether it would affect me. She said that it is a standard procedure, and so it won't affect me at all. Later, I found that there is a possible penalty for filing extension.
1. She should have turned me down in the first place so that I could go to another office. She didn't
2. She should have informed me about possible penalty, because she won't pay it for me. When I raised this point, she said " Normally, people don't care much about paying penalty, so I did't tell you about that." WHAT?
3. She was delinquent, that's why all that happened, but she never apologized.
4. The next morning, I went to her office to pull back my file. My file was done! Initial estimate was $380. She charged me $565! My tax return is simple (no mortgage, no children). For what did I pay $565? |
