I was unjustly assessed a very large amount which I objected to. The amount of the assessment was far exceeding the amount of income I have made during my life. The appeals officer rejected my objection with out giving grounds and without showing(as per my request)the way they came to the assessment. It was recommended by my advisors that I seek a lawyer. I spoke to two and was not remotely encouraged by either nor their exsorbinant rates. I felt abandoned until Surinder offered information on some similar cases that had won. He took over my assessment and spoke to the agent in an informed and strong way(he is an ex-CRA agent). He pushed to have CRA give over the information they had been withholding and gave them any info that they required. Still CRA would not give info on how they came to this decision and demanded full payment. Then Surinder cited the case numbers and was willing to go to court with me. Within a half hour CRA called him back and said the assessment was vacated!
